Logistic support
and asset management is a complex process aimed at achieving
capability by delivering the right equipment, in the right
configuration and quantity, at the right time and for an
affordable cost.
Through-life cost represents a significant proportion of
the cost of ownership (60-80%) and is therefore a key area
in both equipment selection and value for money. Working
closely with the UK MoD, G3 Systems have developed processes
and interfaces to enable industry to develop modern support
strategies.
The data interfaces necessary to enable contractors to manage
effectively existing and new assets on behalf of MoD have
been developed and are being refined. G3 Systems are involved
in a number of pathfinder projects which include leasing
of equipment and storage of systems.
