| NAMSA Mortuary, Kandahar Airfield

G3 Systems built and supplied a mortuary and optional facilities / utilities at Kandahar Airfield for NAMSA, acting as sub-contractor to Copenhagen
Contractors.
- Framemaster type building constructed to an exacting technical specification.
- Main mortuary building configured and sized to accept up to 60 remains intakes at any one time, permitting storage up to this quantity by
use of refrigerated storage units.
- Designed as a ‘wet-room’ with buried drainage and waste water services. HVAC services were supplied via ducting placed within the
ceiling void with feed and return grilles set into the ceiling surface. Wall thermal insulation was achieved by applying a composite panel to
the exterior of the building.
- Full connectivity to power, lights, running water and HVAC. Power distribution capable of 110v-220v.
- Blast-protected remains receipt & munitions checking / disposal area.
- Optional facilities including blast mitigation barriers & specialist containerized incineration facility.
- Plumbing included stainless steel sinks with hot and cold running water, bio hazard seepage tank, septic system, Showers x 2, Toilets x 2
and wall water tap all easily accessible for cleaning equipment.
