The Contingency Infrastructure & Engineering (CI&E) Segment of IAP’s Global Operations and Logistics Division (GOL), secured a multi-million dollar contract to build the next phase of the British Army’s Equipment Support facility (ESF) at Camp BASTION, in Helmand, Afghanistan.
The GOL team, comprising elements from its Panama City (US) and Osprey Quay (G3, UK) operations together with FEKA Construction Inc., will deliver an Equipment Support Facility to support British operations in Afghanistan as part of a larger development of engineering facilities at Camp BASTION.
Dwight Clark, SVP of IAP GOL, commented: “We are delighted to have won this important contract as it establishes IAP GOL’s relationship with the UK MoD, building on past performance and the presence of G3 in BASTION and KAF, and enables us to bring the wider capabilities of IAP - already supporting US forces in Iraq and Afghanistan - to bear in support of the UK and NATO. This is a significant win at a time when activity levels in Helmand are increasing and will enable IAP GOL to consolidate its presence in Helmand and leverage its capability to support both UK and US operations in Afghanistan.”
IAP GOL comprises four principal Business Segments: Power, CI&E, ATM and Global Support Services that are at the forefront of providing essential support to US, UK and NATO Military Forces worldwide as they seek to execute their missions.
