G3 Systems' new £2m Integration and Project
Management Facility known as ‘The Brunel Building’ has
opened recently to replace the two buildings previously occupied
on the same site in Portland, Dorset.
The unification of the two sites will add to the smooth running
of the operations team and provides the company with a modern
engineering and office facility.
An official opening of the unit will take place in the autumn.

G3 Systems exhibited at this year's Defense
Vehicle Dynamics show which took place in July and was run
by the UK Ministry of Defense (MoD) Specialist Utility Vehicles
IPT.
For the first time in 2006, ESS (Engineer Systems Support)
IPT displayed a range of their supported equipment such as
tented and hard wall shelters. The addition of this team
made the show even more relevant for G3 Systems who displayed
an Operational Field Catering System (OFCS) of which they
have supplied over 2000 to the UK MoD.
With the assistance of the RAF military catering school (MCSU),
G3 Systems provided breakfast rolls for the attending audience in
return for a donation to the UK Army Benevolent Fund. After
the event, G3 Systems' military advisor, Major General Murray Wildman,
accepted a cheque for the £240 collected. Murray is
a patron of the Fund.
G3 Systems also displayed the Operational Portable Office (OPO),
which is in service with the UK MoD. OPO is a popular item
of kit having sold over 340 units already and continues to
gain interest and sales due to its flexible format. OPO can
be tailor made to customer’s requirements.
DVD also was the first show that G3 Systems had exhibited at since
the IAP acquisition and was therefore a perfect platform
to inform the UK customer base of the benefits of the move.
With an attendance of over 5000 key personnel, DVD 2006 was
hailed as the best ever.
