Duties:

Support the Commercial Director in his duties.
Support Project Managers in the effective and efficient commercial management, financial reporting and risk control of their Contracts and Sub-Contracts.
Review and negotiation of Contracts, Variations and Amendments.
Preparation of specialist Purchase Orders and Supply Contracts.
Preparation of claims for payment and the administration of Compensation Events and Final account settlements.
Assistance to Director EP&P with the commercial response and estimate for ITTs or RFPs.
To develop and promote positive and mutually beneficial commercial relationships with Clients, Suppliers, and Contractors.

A recognised engineering, building or surveying qualification (minimum HND.
Current full driving licence.

Experience required:

Essential:
Minimum 5 years experience in the construction/MoD industry.
Preparation of financial reports and reconciliations.
Demonstrate computer proficiency including MS excel.
Knowledge and awareness of contract law and contract drafting.
Sound contract negotiation skills.
Demonstrate commercial awareness and ability to interpret financial reports.
Ability to influence and communicate with team members within Solutions values, and with a strong Partnering ethos.
Desirable:
Experience of standard civil industry suites of contracts.
Experience of MOD forms of contract.
Dealing with and administrating contract compensation events / contractual claims.
Experience of EU procurement legislation and guidelines.

Duties:
|
A Resident Engineer is urgently required to work on construction / M&E and facilities projects for G3 Systems, a provider of rapid response engineering and construction solutions for military environments.
Projects vary but in the main are of modular prefabricated construction and/or involve light steel frame, fast build methodology with a large 'design to fit' element. The product range can include mobile hospitals, clinics, offices, kitchens, field offices, storage, accommodation, transportable workshops and training centres.
In brief the remit of the position is to develop and coordinate the conceptual design and then take to site. The position will be primarily office based with visits to site. As there is a large ‘design to fit’ element and design related background is important.
Manage both the in-house and sub-contract design teams.
Coordinate the design elements to produce a complete working solution.
Production of technical documentation and specifications.
Prepare and transmit all site design related directions and instructions.
Ensure the correctness and completeness of the overall design and as-built drawings.
Assist in the final inspection of the work.
Review the adequacy and accuracy of the punch lists.
Monitor the final completion of the work.
Assist in the handover of the completed facilities.
The resident engineer will be responsible for monitoring the design and build contractor, their design team and sub-contractors with regard to the mechanical and electrical services.
Liaise with client re management of appointed subcontractors etc.
